My Goals for 24

This week I turned 24 and I feel like its such an in between age, like a transition age more than anything. I don’t even know how to feel about this birthday. I think for many of us its one of those birthdays where we still celebrate and appreciate being young but are old enough where we question if we are too old for birthday parties. At least I am questioning that still. Each birthday, much like New Years, I begin thinking about my goals and where I am at in my life. Here are a few things I am looking to incorporate into this next year of life.

Have a dedicated travel budget.

I feel like I am FINALLY getting my finances back in check to the point where I can dedicate some of my income towards travel. My sister is studying abroad in Norway this year, we have a family reunion in Orlando planned, and I’d love to escape for a few long weekend trips as well.

Finally set on a diet that is more of a lifestyle than a diet.

Per usual, I have to slide in one super fluid and ambiguous goal to tackle. I think my battle with health and my weight has been an open check box on my to-do list since I was fourteen. I’ve done every diet, cleanse, meal plan/prep, macro plan you can think of. Nothing has stuck or truly aligned with who I am as a person. This year I just want consistency.

Start planning for a cross country move.

I have always lived in Ohio. I didn’t even leave for college and came back close to where I was born post-grad. I finally feel like I am secure enough in who I am to start thinking about a move to some place new. This one probably won’t be achieved in this year but I at least want to start exploring where I’d like to move to next. (Hint…Florida, Arizona, and California are on the list!)

Give my work wardrobe a face lift.

My work environment is definitely more casual but, according to my mother, I could step it up a little. My look is decidedly comfortable. Take that as you will, I don’t dress poorly or drab but I don’t think I would stand out much in a crowd. Greys, blacks, and soft colors are my friend if you know what I mean. I would love to try Stitch Fix but I am a little concerned about the cost. If you’ve tried that or any other stylist type websites let me know in the comments below!

I am trying to keep the list of goals shorter this year or else I don’t have a SHOT in HECKY HECK of chipping away at these goals. Hope you all have a happy week!

  1. Wow, marvelous weblog structure! How lengthy have you been running a
blog for? you make running a blog glance easy.

The full glance of your web site is fantastic, as neatly as the content material!
